stars and hearts

I picked up my '07 BKB kit a couple of weeks ago, it's fantastic. I've had a handful of rides in it, all were splended. Last year there was talk of the BKB living on blood, I think it's true. I got my new kit, and since then, I've donated blood on every mountain bike ride I've been on. Sometimes more than once.

As a result of Megs getting 2 puppies, I've finally resigned to a mtn bike season lost. Well, not completely lost, just way less racing than I want. Saturday was hard for me. With 2 sick puppies and an empty bank account as a result of them (vet bills) I skipped the much anticapted SS State champs in La Crosse. Megs and I had a long chat about life and such, we agreed that nothing will keep me from 24-9 duo with djonn. Following that, I might come out of triathlon retirement and race the Devil's Challenge in September, then Cross season starts, let the pain begin.

Somehow it took me until now to realize that the best way to keep getting my workouts in is to run with my dogs instead of walking them. I don't enjoy running, there's no coasting. If I want to stay/get fit, I must run. I've run for the past 2 days now, today was better yesterday, and I'll feel better on the run portions of the cross races. It's a win-win situation, the dogs don't get neglected because I'm out riding, and I'm still getting a good workout.

Megs has been making some totally hot dog collars, website coming soon, for now, here's a few examples:

Email us if you'd like to buy one or more, corgimocollars@yahoo.com. We can do matching leashes in any length, too.
