The weekend didn't really go as planned, I ended up riding Camrock 3 with John, D*pow and ZRcycles on Saturday. It was a nice relaxed ride, I got a flat tire, then drank a beer and called it a day. Sunday I spent 2 hours at the Trek Brand trails in Waterloo. They were cruel. I crashed twice, got a thorn stuck so deep in my thigh I had to dig it out with a presta valve, the hole it left bled and dripped all the way to my nice white sock. Monday after work I did some sprints in tall grass/stinging nettles. It was very wet, soggy in fact, energy draining. If not for my dog, Lucy, chasing rabbits and critters down the trails ahead of me, I probably would have turned in earlier. My back aches, my legs are scabbed and bruised, and my arms are covered with scratches from plowing through overgrown brush. The single speed state champs are coming up and I'm feeling...ready?
Outside of cycling:
-Lucy graduated Outdoor Intermediate Obedience, she's a good dog.
-Our garden is kicking ass, lettuce is delicious, everything is coming up good, the corn is almost 60" tall already.
-Megan made some amazing tomato and zucchini pasta sauce for dinner last night.
-Steven's wedding is only 2 weeks from Saturday.
