HollyDay weekend

I spent the past 3 days doing what love. It was great, totally refreshing. Saturday I did yard work for most of the day, mowing, raking, and prepping gardens 2 and 3 for planting. Sunday was a day in the saddle. Two hours at the Trek Brand trails with Djonn, he was exceptional at boosting my moral. Maybe he was sitting up, relaxing some while I was pinning it for 2 hours, either way, it was great. I felt great, the bike set-up is great. Great great great. John was nice enough to drive me home. It was that or 11.5 road miles on a 32x17 mtn bike. After John left I was feeling sassy. So I refueled and hopped on my cross bike for a "spin" into Sun Prairie to visit Megs and pick up my car.

*my car was in Sun Prairie due to the copious amounts of alcohol consumed Saturday evening*

The 19.8 miles to Sun Prairie was emotionally and physically difficult. Like the last lap of of a 12hrs race, I thought it would never end. A block headwind the entire way. Farm fields don't do much for wind protection. It was a hard, windy 2 hours.

Once getting there I said hi to Megs and left for home. After some pasta and a nap, it's time to get ready for MOTAB. MOTAB was great fun. Kathy showed up, and filled her pannier baskets with other people's beer, her laps were spent handing beers off to fellow racers. Super fun times.

Monday I relaxed with the dogs, did some house chores and rode about an hour on my fancy-boy track bike.

This morning, Megs and I tended to Garden 1, everything is coming up nicely, lots of Broccoli, Zucchini and Lettuce. The peppers, tomatoes, carrots and onions are starting a little slower, but still looking good. I'm hungry.
