Goodbye my friend

The Acura has been finally put to rest. After a long difficult life, it's gone. This Legend was built in 1992, and probably had a fine living until 1999, when my brother, Steve, bought it. It was pretty much down hill from there. The car suffered through street drag racing, countless car audio overhauls, a few accidents and 2 break-ins. Then I adopted it in 2005, at this point the car's Speedometer and Odometer were working intermittenly, often you had to guess how fast you were going. According to the odometer, since 2005, we've only 1000 miles on the car, that's false, we've probably put close to 20,000 on. Also at the time of my adopting it, the SRS light was on, the car was in a minor fender bender and the air bags should have popped, but didn't, our auto mechanic informed us the bags could pop at "any second." They never did though. Then Madison gets a golf ball-sized hail storm, the Acura is renamed "dimples." Shortly after that something went wrong with the idle or something, when driving it you have to keep your right foot always on the gas otherwise it'll die, and even with the gas on, sometimes it'll die anyways. All this stopping with the left foot and the gas pedal depressed with the right caused the brake warning light to lite, and the ABS light. For some reason, maybe just a sign of impending death the Check Engine light also came on. When we traded it in last week, we were informed that "every warning light is on," and in the salesman's own words "if ever there was a $100 car, this is it." He also said, "I don't mean to pry, but what's that purple stuff all over the inside of the trunk?" It's a quart of screen print ink I informed him, Megs is an artist, and a fast driver. In the weeks before the car's final goodbye, we hit over 110mph just for fun. I was following Megs home (she was driving the Golf). The Acura preformed well, even it's last moments.

You gotta love a car with personality. New cars have no soul.
