Well, sort of, I'm more or less back by default. I'm jobless, Trek Travel isn't a part of Trek anymore, and I'm not a part of Trek Travel. Without getting to into it: I'm pissed, I'm bitter, and I can't get that fucking knife out of my back. Fuck Trek Travel! They're on track to loose $1.2million this year, unless someone pulls some serious shit, it's going to be near impossible to turn a profit next year. No profit means no pay, no pay means no employees, fuck 'em. Fuck them. They don't give a shit about bikes, and they don't have anything even close to a grasp on reality. In other news, Megan has two (2) jobs, she works about 50-60 hours a week, between Mounds and UW Madison. She works all the time, I don't work, there's a little tension at home sometimes. I need a job. If any of y'all stumble on this stale-ass blog and are looking to hire a hard working bike dork - drop me a line.
This weekend is the WI State Cross championships, I plan on finishing in the top 75% of the CAT 4's. At least better than my last race, when I was crashed out by some fellow racer, ended my race for the day less than 1km into the first lap. Next season I'll be dedicating more of my life to racing, I've been bit by the racing bug for sure, it'll be less thrown together like this season, more planning = more tolerable for my wife. Instead of this season's "Honey, I think I'm going to race on Sunday." This was our typical Friday night conversation. She'd just laugh and order another round of beers. She's great that way.
Well, check out this, this, this, and this. It's more interesting than my life.
