I MISSED IT
I missed the one thing in my social life outside of my wife for my wife. I hope she appreciates it. We're building walls, frames and painting and laying carpet in the 734 gallery in prep for her big opening. The place is coming together while I'm coming apart. I've put in 22 hours in 2 days, plus 4 hours after work this past Thursday AND Friday (each). Manual Labor! There's something very comforting about it for me, and another thing that's starting to make me crazy. My joints hurt, my soft, supple salesman hands are returning to their old mechanic days of cuts and calouses. What will I do when this is over in a week and we're done tearing it down? I guess I'll ride my bike. I missed MOTAB and Tjet and an Alleycat. I'm pretty bumed out about it, but I know how important Megan's MFA show is. This is her doctoral thesis, I'm doing everything I can to help. The opening is 5-9pm Friday, May 5th. Please attend. It will amaze you...and there's free food.
