Another incredible episode in the Too Cool Cronicles, Friday Megs, Steph and I headed out to meet up my new friend (thanks, Stephanie), Keith. Keith was turning 31, that magical age where nothing eventful happens on your birthday anymore. So Keith is from Ireland, and while in the states he wanted a good "American" birthday party. What's more American than the Hell Pit, otherwise known as the Nitty Gritty, the birthday person always drinks free at the Hell Pit. Keith was having a great ol' time, then Megs bought him the first Birthday shot, some cheap whisky, pretty much turned Keith's game face on. From that point on, every 10-15 minutes that boy had another shot in his hand. He finished a half dozen pints of Guiness while drinking all those shots. Proving that the Irish can really drink. When we left around 12:30, Keith was still putting together complete sentences and standing upright. It was amazing. Saturday was recovery day, I watched the inspirational "Joe Kid on a Stingray." Sidehack dude, I dare you. Thus far 2006 has been the year of new friends, thanks to Josh, Steph and Keith. I miss my old ones V and Big Gay Pete. BGP is moving away, he's a real engineer (like a train, toot toot). V is a student attorney. A god damn student attorney. My mother is so proud I'm friends with such nice upstanding young men. King Size Sheets is coming, Southern Graphics is coming, and that means 2 days off from work!!! Don't me and my wife look happy in that picture?
