They do exist!

Single speeders, fixies in every city. Indianapolis this weekend was tolerable, I sold bikes and breathed in bike shop air. It was wasn't as horrible as I remember. Of course, Jirsa was there, sexually harassing me the whole time which helped a lot. Two mechanics were fixt guys, they, of course were the nicest, most down to earth, and easiest to talk to. One guy had an old Pinerallo he sawed the stays off and welded a monostay on in place...strange to say the least. He hadden't even painted them to match. Just welded it up. The other fella was recovering from an apprecenticeship at Indy Fab, Hoooo boy his bike was fancy. Custom geometry fillet brazed steel, painted up black to pink (bottom to top) fade. Real nice, covering the faded part were some fancy airbrushed skulls. Who doesn't love skulls?? His bike was clean. Then out at the bar, well, walking up to the bar, there were 6 or 7 fixies parked in the rack, nice, spoke cards and all. It sounds like there's not much in the way of events like Motab or Tjet, Indianapolis isn't the bikers' paradise that Madison is. Sheronda just "needs" some brakes then we're all set. I rode it up and down the street a little...brakes would make me feel better, at least for now. MMMMMmmmmm.......bikes!
