"You can be a mechanic or a racer, not both." The only cycling coach I ever had said that, I'm an above average bike mechanic now, and only an average cyclist. Sometimes I get so pissed as these young little punks who think they're big shit because they worked in a shop for a couple of years and race comp class in WORS series. To those little pricks I say "EFF YOU!" It just grates on me so bad. Maybe it's because of my past - i'll get into that later - that I'm so fed up with people who are image first and full of shit. I don't have time for it. Just be your fucking self, people will like you or they won't. You'll learn a lot more and have a lot better life. "I'm a company man!" "This is the best place ever!" Well I'm not, so fuck you. I like bikes, don't matter what kind. I don't like people who have "beater" bikes. There's no such thing, that's so disrespectful.
